Cameron Mackintosh’s legendary production of Boublil and Schönberg’s Les Misérables is a global stage sensation, seen by 70 million people in 52 countries and 22 languages around the world.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.

Featuring the songs 'I Dreamed A Dream', 'Bring Him Home', 'One Day More' and 'On My Own' - Les Misérables is 'The Show of Shows' (Newsweek).

Please note: The Original Production will run until 13th July before the Queen’s Theatre closes for refurbishment. The All-Star Staged Concert will run at the Gielgud Theatre 10th August – 30th November. The Queen's Theatre will reopen on 18th December with the acclaimed New Production.

The running time of LES MISÉRABLES is 2 hours 50 minutes including a 15 minute interval.

Auditorium and Bar Opening Times

For evening performances a theatre bar will be open from 6.00pm and the auditorium will open at 7.00pm. Please note on Wednesdays and Saturdays a theatre bar will open from 6.15pm. For matinee performances a bar will open at 1.45pm and the auditorium will open at 2.00pm.

*All prices include a £2.25 online booking fee. An additional 50p booking fee will be added to telephone bookings.

**Booking fees from 18th December 2019: All prices include a £2.50 booking fee for tickets purchased online or via phone.

Booking fees do not apply to tickets purchased in person at the box office.

Backstage tours can be booked in conjunction with school visits to LES MISÉRABLES. These run on Wednesday mornings at 10.00am, 11.00am and 12.00pm and give a fascinating insight into how a West End musical is produced and how spectacular stage effects are achieved.

Les Misérables - Backstage Tour


Spend an hour discovering what goes on behind the scenes. The backstage tour gives you an insight into the history of the musical and stagecraft used during the performance. You will also have the opportunity to handle and try on costumes from the show.

The backstage Tour takes place on Wednesday prior to the matinee at 10.00am, 11.00am and 12.00pm

£5.00 per person.

Les Misérables - Workshop


This practical workshop enables participants to understand more about the historic context of the production and encourages them to develop performance skills.

The workshop outlines rehearsal techniques used by the directors Trevor Nunn and John Caird in this award winning musical using trust games to create a sense of ensemble.

Extracts from the original novel are used for physical character work.

Plot and characters are explored through narration, tableau, thought tracking, mime and choreography, culminating in the group staging a human barricade to a key song from the show.

The workshop takes place on Wednesday prior to the matinee at 10.00am, 11.00am and 12.00pm. Other dates and times may be possible upon request.

£8.50 per pupil.

Les Misérables - Choral Workshop


This workshops starts with a discussion about singing in different genres.

There is a vocal warm up using techniques that are used by the cast of LES MISÉRABLES, followed by exercises about the use of text and its relationship with the music, timing and singing at the same time.

The group will learn to sing a song from the show in harmony, and then put together a short ensemble scene from the production, perfoming "At the End of the Day".

The Choral Workshop takes place on Wednesday prior to the matinee at 10.00am, 11.00am and 12.00pm. Other dates and times may be possible upon request.

£8.50 per pupil.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements
We will endeavour to provide alternative menus for any dietary requirements notified within three days of any event. Any additional costs involved for outsourcing catering to specialist companies (such as Kosher) will be chargeable. If we are notified of any allergies we will ensure that these ingredients are not used in the food provided, however we cannot guarantee any dishes are free from trace elements due to the nature of the kitchens.

Please be aware that our products may contain nuts or nut traces.

A menu detailing any allergens used in our food will be available at your event; please ask your designated host if you would like to see it.

Food Safety
Our caterers follow strict health and safety guidelines. Chilled food can only be left out of refrigeration for a maximum of four hours. After this time the food will be deemed unsafe and consequently disposed of. Delfont Mackintosh Theatres cannot therefore allow food to be removed from the venue for the client to dispose of.

Licensing Law
Our licence dictates that all beverages must be consumed on site during the performance times.

ID may be requested for anyone that appears to be under the age of 25.

Hospitality Cancellations
Hospitality bookings (both with and without tickets) cannot be refunded but they may be exchanged prior to the performance provided a minimum of ten days notice is given, subject to availability and a handling fee.
