About The Show

Age recommendation: 15+

Following a critically-acclaimed, sold-out season at the National Theatre, People, Places & Things has transferred to the Wyndham’s Theatre for a limited season until 18th June 2016. This intoxicating new play about surviving life in the modern world stars Olivier Award-winning 'Best Actress' Denise Gough in a career-defining performance.

People, Places & Things marks the latest collaboration between Headlong and the National Theatre, written by Duncan Macmillan (1984, Every Brilliant Thing, Lungs) and directed by Jeremy Herrin (The Nether, Wolf Hall/Bring Up the Bodies).

Emma was having the time of her life. Now she's in rehab.

Her first step is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn't with Emma, it's with everything else. She needs to tell the truth. But she's smart enough to know that there's no such thing.

When intoxication feels like the only way to survive the modern world, how can she ever sober up?

Please note the play contains some strong language and drug references and depiction of drug and/or alcohol use. Herbal cigarettes are used in the production.

Loud sound effects, high intensity lighting and video effects also feature in the production.
