The acclaimed Patina Miller will perform in the Delfont Room on 18th November. Patina Miller is making her West End debut as Deloris Van Cartier in the London premiere of Sister Act: The Musical.
Born in the small American town of Pageland, South Carolina, Patina was raised by her musical family on rhythm & blues and gospel. At the age of 15, Patina left home to attend the prestigious South Carolina Governor’s School for Acting and at the age of 17, she earned a full scholarship to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated with a BFA in Drama.
Following graduation, Patina moved to New York and secured a role in the popular US soap opera, All My Children. While working on the small screen, Patina received critical acclaim playing the role of ‘Dionne’ in the Public Theater’s revival of Hair in Central Park’s Delacorte Theater.
Her other theater includes, John Patrick Shanley’s musical comedy Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club, Billy Porter’s Being Alive at the Philadelphia Theater Company, workshops of Green Day’s Musical, American Idiot, Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater’s Nightingale and The Mormon Musical, written by South Park scribes Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
