Facilities

There are 3 licensed bars. No steps to the Foyer bar from the wheelchair space (along a side corridor). Moveable seats. Foyer bar 3 steps up from the foyer. Stalls bar 4 steps down from the back of the stalls, with fixed seats.

There are no cloakroom facilities at the Gielgud Theatre.

Hire The Theatre

There is one VIP room available for hire at the Gielgud Theatre, The Royal Room, which holds up to 6 people and the VIP room which holds up to 8 people. If you would like to discuss venue hire then please email gielgudmanagers@delmack.co.uk.

hearing IconHearing

Hearing-Impaired infra-red system in the auditorium and induction loop at Box Office. Infra-red system with 14 headsets - collect your headsets from the cloakroom: name and address required. The best reception is in the front area of all levels of the auditorium. Induction loop at the Box Office.

Guide dog IconGuide dogs

Guide dogs allowed into auditorium, alternatively staff are happy to dog-sit.

Wheelchair IconWheelchairs

Entrance to the auditorium is through the third side EXIT door on Rupert Street. Ask a member of staff to open this for you. One 12cm step up to the front of the Dress Circle. Venue suitable for scooters. Seats B5 and 30 can be removed to provide 2 spaces for wheelchair users. You cannot see a small part of the stage.

16 steps up to the women's and men's from the foyer. There are toilets situated on all levels of the auditorium. Adapted toilet in foyer near the bar.
